and the drills max detection range is 40.8 which as you see the sg for its size isnt much better. Im half and half on this its not hard to find them due to the dark spots but thats a bit lazy on keens part instead of extending the range of sg ore detectors past 73.5m. maybe in a car but if you are in a hover craft it is much harder, oh ok, in a ship maybe you have to be closer, but, well, I already have a hover ship :p. After placing the Ore detector block, it needs only Power in order to display ore in a 50m range (Small ships), or 150m (Large ships) around itself. Those ranges may make sense on a planet, but when looking for ore on an asteroid, these detectors have been pretty much useless.
